Steven Dugan, HIS

Steven Dugan, H.I.S., is a dedicated Hearing Instrument Specialist at Estes Audiology in Baton Rouge. As a recent addition to the team, he brings over a decade of expertise in adult amplification, audiometric evaluations, and hearing aid fittings. Steven has served as the clinic manager for three Louisiana locations and played a crucial role as the secretary on the board of the Louisiana Society of Hearing Aid Specialists (LSHAS). Dual-licensed in Louisiana and California, Steven is an active member of the International Hearing Society and the Louisiana Society for Hearing Aid Specialists.

Passionate about various causes, Steven volunteers with the Baton Rouge Council on Aging, the Kiwanis Club, and lectures for the Alzheimer’s Association of Baton Rouge. His commitment extends to causes such as hearing loss awareness, children’s rights, animal rights, hearing loss prevention, and poverty alleviation. Steven’s positive impact goal is to remove the stigma surrounding hearing loss, enhance understanding, and improve communication for his patients and their loved ones.

Graduating from Nicholls State University with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and minors in Humanities and Social Sciences, Steven’s personal journey as a hearing aid wearer since the age of 15 inspired him to become a hearing care provider. His favorite aspect of the job is helping people overcome barriers to hearing care treatment and witnessing the joy when patients can reconnect with their loved ones.

Outside of work, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife, Whitney, and their two sons, Jetson and Holland. They cherish family walks with their dog, Nola, engage in chess games, and share a passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With 14 years in the region, Steven has become an integral part of the Baton Rouge community.
